With a national social insurance program, however, I would not be solely responsible for the financial cost of paid family and medical leave insurance for my workers, making the impact on my business minimal. I understand how important it is for employees who need to balance their work and family responsibilities to have reasonable options for doing so — options that also meet the needs of employers, including small business owners. With that in mind, I strongly support the FAMILY Act.”
