As an employer with a team of people who I care very much about, I want to make sure they have access to what they need to take care of their families and take care of themselves. California provides more protection and better benefits than most other states. There are certainly challenges for small employers to implement any new legislation and new requirements, but in this case I think the benefits far outweigh the challenges. I would be very comforted to know that all of my employees and their families have more security when it’s needed. I want to see this for everyone.”
